Welcome to the Photonics Research Laboratory of the National Institute
of Physics at the University of the Philippines - Diliman Campus. We
are the Philippine principal research laboratory for theoretical and
applied studies in laser physics and optics. Here, you will find
details of our current research, laboratory facilities, faculty &
student members and recent publications.
We develop laser systems and various applications such as coherent
metrology techniques, pulsed laser deposition, applying our research
to solve many previously intractable problems. Together with our
sponsors and research partners, the Photonics Research Group is proud
and excited to contribute to photonics; a fascinating world in itself,
and one of great social and economic significance.
