- Congratulations to Ms. Alessandra Araullo for winning the silver medal in Triathlon in the 24th SEA Games and for breaking the Philippine record.

- Dr. Ceasar Saloma : 2007 Metrobank Outstanding Teacher Awardee
- The US Patent and Trademark Office has finally issued a patent (No. 7,235,988) for the invention of Saloma et. al. on the "Method for generating high-contrast images of semiconductor sites via one-photon optical beam-induced current imaging and confocal reflectance microscopy." A copy of the patent issuance is attached herewith.

Dranreb Earl Juanico and Christopher Monterola were awarded 1st Prize in the Scientific Poster Exhibition of the 74th Annual Scientific Meeting of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) held at the Pokalban-Rigodon Hall in Manila Hotel on March 8, 2007. The winning poster, which deals with a cellular-automata model of landslide formation that is applicable for landslide hazard monitoring, prediction & mitigation, has been chosen out of 25 final entries spanning across 12 scientific disciplines that include biological sciences, chemical sciences, earth & space sciences, medical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, agriculture & forestry, engineering, mathematics, humanities, social sciences, physics. Each final entry were initially screened by the Executive Committee of each scientific division of the NRCP. A plaque and a cash prize was awarded to the winner by the NRCP President and DOST Undersecretary, Dr. Fortunato de la Pena.
- Congratulations to Dr. Vincent Ricardo Daria and Dr Maricor Soriano for winning the OUTSTANDING YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARD 2006.
- Congratulations to Dr. Carlo Mar Blanca for winning the NAST-DU PONT TALENT SEARCH FOR YOUNG SCIENTISTS 2006 .
